NADIR
Shapes, paths and trails in real time
NADIR draws a shape that travels along a path, leaves a trail that warps and fades, composes it over a background video and sends it through Syphon, with and without the video, and as data for MadMapper's laser. It is played live with a MIDI controller, just like MadMapper.
It was born from Summoning's laser shaders. It is in closed beta and the current version is 0.2.

The interface
One dark window. What is on shows inverted, what is dangerous shows in red, and values moved away from zero show in blue.
- 01Status and outputs. The dot says whether it runs. LIVE and REC are red chips.
- 02Bar. Video + drawing or Drawing only for the view, the three Syphon outputs, Record and Render.
- 03View. The same as the Syphon output. A click or a drag moves the shape.
- 04Random, Zero and Reset. Three separate buttons, with Space, 0 and R.
- 05Scenes. Eight, with keys 1 to 8. Shift and click saves the current piece.
- 06Sections. Collapsible, each with its own random and zero.
- 07Controls. Sliders, options and switches. Double click on the name returns to zero.
- 08Output and MIDI. At the end of the column, with render, laser and assignments.
- 09Laser monitor. With Syphon laser on it appears bottom right, with what goes to the galvo.
- 10Status bar. Resolution, fps, milliseconds per frame and laser points.
