CADA AÑO HABRÁ MENOS PALABRAS
Cada año habrá menos palabras (Every year there will be fewer words) is an audiovisual piece by Trimex about the technologies used for surveillance and how that operation can reshape a society's future. Over sixteen and a half minutes, the work turns YOLO, a recognition system for people, animals and objects of the kind used in surveillance, back onto the street and the people who live in it.
It was part of Extractivisms: Operations and Practices, curated by Iván Flores for Galería Réplica at Universidad Austral de Chile and presented at Ars Electronica in 2021 within A New Digital Deal. In 2022 it was shown at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo of Universidad de Chile.
