Video mapping, lighting control and audiovisual systems, taught by the people who build Trimex's installations. These are the programs we have run so far. Dates and fees for the next edition by email.
Session recording, a PDF with shortcuts and key steps, and a private Discord channel for 30 days of follow-up support. Uses the MadMapper trial version.
01
Core concepts
What video mapping is, references, and why MadMapper.
02
Setting up
Installation, outputs, simulators and a pre-session checklist for PC and Mac.
03
Interface and creative workflow
Stage, Outputs, Fixtures, Materials and importing content.
04
Scenes and effects
Layers, clips, timelines, simple masks, color adjustments and LUTs.
05
Calibration and projection
Mapping onto flat surfaces or simple structures, warping and saving presets.
06
Guided mini project
Each participant builds a scene from a template and gets live feedback.
Intensive video mapping course
Live online on Discord, recorded classes
4 classes over 2 weeks, 8 hours
Mondays and Wednesdays, 7 to 9 pm (Chile)
No prior experience needed
A one-month educational license for MadMapper and MadLaser, courtesy of GarageCube, and a digital certificate of participation.
01
Fundamentals and interface
What video mapping is, references and professional uses. Installation, surfaces and mapping, output and project management. A first mapping on a simple surface.
02
Visual content, ISF and audio reactivity
Video and loops, formats and compression. ISF shaders and built-in generators. Audio analysis, dynamic parameters and visual sync.
03
LED, DMX and ArtNet
LED lighting and fixture types. DMX LED and addressable LED. Universes, channels, patching and addressing. Integrating light with projected content.
04
AI visuals and final project
Generating content with AI tools and optimizing it for mapping. Designing a full project, simulating an installation and presenting it live to the group.
